Small commericial solar installations have lagged behind residential. One problem we see is the disconnect between "owner" and "occupant" incentives of the commercial spaces, in which the owner would qualify for solar incentives/tax credits but does not pay energy bills, and the occupant pays bills but is not the owner of the structure. Perhaps there is a new financial model that bridges this divide and could capitalize upon the desire of occupants to go solar/pay less for energy...and building owners to receive some financial benefit for installing solar as a property imrpovement.
