Currently, there is no centralized and quality-controlled database of PV equipment for the industry's reference. The California CEC database has been used as a de-facto standard, but with the CSI incentive sunsetting, this is no longer likely to remain a viable alternative. In addition, it suffers from a lack of quality control. Having a standardized database would ensure that installers, distributers, financiers and customers all have access to accurate key equipment data.
